I am so pleased with my purchase of this camera. The LCD is big and looks really good. The camera is small and light-weight, making it great for taking pics or videos just about anywhere. I bought this as an update to our mini-DV video camera and to replace our old 2MP point-and-shoot digital camera. In fact, when I came across this product on Amazon, I was looking for a compact HD video camera. Because this looked so much like a typical point-and-shoot still camera, I had my reservations as to whether it could function as a full-featured video camera. So I read lots of user's reviews before making my purchase and found that almost everyone loves it, especially for video. The video quality is stunning, much better than I'd expected. I was even impressed by the recorded sound quality, when playing back the videos on my PC. Before I read the reviews, I thought that the underwater feature was just a selling gimmick. Once I played with it in the pool, I discovered that the reason everyone raves about the underwater capabilities of this camera is because it works so well. Once you shoot some family videos in the pool, any buyer's remorse goes out the window. After seeing my camera, my sister-in-law ordered one, and now my mom wants one too. All in all, the camera is smaller, lighter, and works better than I had expected.

Waterproof, shock proof, slim, compact, beautiful, what more could you ask for?,

I've finally found a camera that fits perfectly into my lifestyle. I don't need to worry about taking this on a rafting trip (I have a 100 beautiful pictures to prove it), I don't have to worry about putting this thing in my pocket going snowboarding, don't have to worry about "waterproof cases" for snorkeling, no worries about drizzle and rainy conditions: this can handle it all with ease! While doing all this, it still looks like a fashionable "normal" camera.

To add to this, the camera has excellent image stabilization, much better than Canon powershot series that I have used. If you have shaky hands, no worries with this camera, you really have to try hard to get a blurry picture. Another cool feature is the "intelligent auto" mode which sets all of the settings automatically adjusting light, focus, etc to just right, although I prefer the regular auto mode for night pictures.

Last I checked Amazon.com had the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 12MP Digital Camera at a great discounted price. Click the link to get yours while they are still in stock.
